Chapter 1

Verse 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Scientists and theologians alike have argued the origins of both mankind and of the Earth for years and, although theories such as the “big bang” and evolution have been developed by men and taught relentlessly in educational settings, the truth is that all the theories of the origins of man and of the Earth are not provable scientifically and therefore they are just theories, not fact. The Biblical claim that there is a being called God, and that He created everything we can see with our eyes and detect with our senses and with today’s technology, and everything we cannot see with our eyes or detect with our senses and with today’s technology, is no more extreme or ridiculous than all the theories that have come and gone over the approximately six thousand years mankind has occupied the Earth. Many scientists will admit that when they look at the order and beauty of a plant or at the chemical makeup of a substance that there is evidence of “intelligent design”. In other words, things did not just happen to happen. Everything in our world is far too complex to have just developed by random events. Something or someone created. The Christian chooses to believe in an all powerful, all knowing, invisible, and all present God, who manifests Himself three different ways, and who created all things because He cares and loves what He has made, and that He has a plan for this Earth and for the people, critters and plant life occupying it.

Verse 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Scientists and theologians for centuries have taught heliocentrism as if it was fact and have ignored what Scripture teaches about the Earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars. Heliocentrism is the belief that the sun is the center of the universe, and that the Earth and other planets orbit around the sun and that they are spherical or ball shaped. It teaches that the sun is millions or billions of “light years” away and there is the possibility that there is life on other planets. It teaches that the Earth turns completely around once every 24 hours or so and that it is tilted at an angle on its axis (an imaginary line). It teaches that since the Earth is spinning at approximately 1000 mph and racing through “space” to circle the sun in approximately 365 days, there is an invisible force called gravity that holds everything and everyone onto the ground and that stops the oceans from falling off, etc. Heliocentrism cannot be proven scientifically. In fact, all scientific experiments conducted to prove the curvature of the Earth have shown that the Earth is flat and not curved. Yes, the surface of the Earth contains bumps and dips, i.e. mountains and valleys, but there is no curve to the shape of the Earth. Gravity cannot be proven either by scientific experimentation. Therefore heliocentrism is a myth or wishful thinking based on religious superstition. This writer has avoided discussing the controversy between what has been termed “flat earthers” and “heliocentrists” as this web site in not intended to be political. (Neither of these nouns will be found in the dictionary, but they are the terms being used publicly by people debating both sides of the issue.) However, the LORD expects the whole of His Word to be preached and taught, and so this writer has returned to Genesis to show what God says about His creation.

The Bible teaches that the Earth is flat, stationary, supported on pillars, covered with a crystal like covering or tent, and that the sun, moon and stars are under the covering (firmament) and travel around in the Heavens over the Earth to act as signs, to provide lights in the heavens, to differentiate the seasons, and to provide a method of keeping time. Until sometime around the 1600’s, the Biblical version of creation and of the flat, stationary Earth was believed. Then the Catholic church got involved with Nicolaus Copernicus and heliocentrism was born. Then Johannes Kepler, who was an astrologer (not an astronomer or scientist) in the court of Emperor Rudolf II who was the king of Hungary and surrounding territory, decided that since God was at the center of the Christian faith, the occultists should have the sun (ancient sun god worship?) at the center of the universe. So heliocentrism is not terribly scientific but definitely religious and occult in origin. Why did this belief system develop? Because there is an adversary called Satan or the Devil and he has done/is doing everything he can to deceive people into thinking that the Bible, God’s Word, is not true and that there is no God and thereby destroy God’s people, the Church.

The word “earth” in the verse above does not mean a planet. It means ground or territory. Usually throughout the Bible this word only refers to the dirt upon which we walk, build things and grow vegetables and other plant life. If the reader interprets the word “earth” to be a planet, an improper rendering of Scripture can occur. The words “without form” refer to being a waste land or wilderness and “void” means it was empty. Without light, the earth or land was a dark, empty wilderness awaiting the next creative move of God and it was covered with water. The word “Spirit” is like a wind or breath and one can imagine the spiritual presence of God Almighty hovering over this first phase of creation, the chemical mixture of dirt/water becoming the very thing from which man was eventually formed. At this phase of creation, the land was covered with water.

The Bible teaches that the Earth is flat and stationary. It does not move. Verse 2 above gives the first evidence that the Earth is flat. Remember, this writer does not say the Earth is flat: God does. A “face” is the front side of a person’s head or of an object. Clocks have faces, people have faces, animals have faces, and buildings have faces. Tennis balls, soccer balls, round rocks, or any other spherical object do not have a front and therefore cannot have a face. Furthermore, water cannot stick to a ball or spherical shaped object. Water has to have a container or something with depth in order to be contained. And water never curves around the outside of an object or, when at rest, never curves around the inside of a container, but always fills the container and is always flat and level. Water will ripple or wave with wind or with an earthquake, but will quickly become flat again. This is so observable in this world by just looking at a bathtub of water or at the surface of a lake on a windless day. Water has to be contained in something and water will take on the shape of the container, but the surface of that water will always be flat and level when the water is not moving. No one needs science to tell them this fact as it is self-evident. And when over 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, it makes it impossible for the Earth to be a sphere. The existence of the oceans proves that the Earth under them is flat, not level of course as there are mountains and valleys, but flat as opposed to round or curved.

Verse 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Verses one and two above are general in nature. Moses, the author of Genesis, starts a detailed timeline of the creation with verse three and shows the steps that God took in His creative work. Light in these verses means light. Most people have been taught (or in my case, frightened by well meaning public school teachers) that if the sun was to go out, all the plants would die and photosynthesis would stop and all life would collapse. Since that has never happened, it is again only a theory. According to the Bible light was created, and that means daylight, on the very first day of creation and, as the reader will see later in the text, the sun was not created until all the plants were established and growing on the earth. So it is the light of God that sustains all life, not the sun as is taught in the heliocentric model. God is the light and the center of life, not the sun.

Application: Should a person go outside early in the morning when it is getting light but when the sun is not yet shining on objects or on the ground and look under a parked car or any other large object, they will see that there is a shadow present on the ground. This demonstrates quite simply that light and shadow exists without benefit of the sun. So since contemporary science cannot explain the source of the light, Christian believers can do so as they know this light is from God Almighty and not a result of the sun.

Verses 4-5 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Before sin entered the world, everything was good. This statement is repeated in the creation story and shows that God was proud and pleased and liked what He had made. Again, even with no sun there is a distinct division between light and dark which God calls Day and Night. The Hebrew word translated as “divide” is “badal” and it means to separate or sever into parts. So perhaps it would be interesting to ask how this could be without a sun in what is termed “outer space”, located in the center of a galaxy of which there is no mention in the Bible of being created by God, and that the Earth is reported to be spinning through and around every 365 days and turning in front of on an imaginary line or axis every 24 hours?

Time, as recorded in this first day and all subsequent days, begins in the evening and progresses to the morning, directly opposite to what most people do today. The understanding is that one goes from darkness to light which is a happy thing. This becomes more apparent in the Biblical context when discussing the darkness of sin and the light of the Gospel and of Jesus Christ. Today’s Jewish people count their day as starting in the evening and ending the beginning of the evening the next day. Some Christian groups begin their Sabbath on a Friday evening at 6PM and end it on Saturday afternoon just before 6PM.

Application: Time as people understand it did not exist before Creation. Once light and darkness were created by God, the concept of time was created also and the sequence of daylight to darkness to daylight provided the basis of time, a way to calculate the age of people and things and to calculate what eventually became the calendar of days, weeks, months and years. Just as God created time, He will end it. Revelation 10:6 states, “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:” Notice that time in Genesis chapter 1, the first book of the Bible, and time in Revelation 10, the last book of the Bible, is directly tied to God’s creation.

Verses 6-8 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

According to Strong’s Concordance, firmament occurs 17 times in the Bible and refers to an extended surface that is solid and supportive. Its purpose is to separate the waters on the Earth’s surface and in the Earth’s atmosphere (rain) from the waters that exist above the firmament where God resides and which He calls Heaven. So the firmament is a covering of the Earth and it is clear like crystal and hard like crystal. Ask why radio waves bounce back from “space”. What are they hitting that bounces them back to the Earth? The blue color of the sky is not a reflection of the color of the seas as the heliocentric model reports and as science teaches, but is the color of the water above the firmament. When clouds cover the sky over an ocean, the water is gray or dark in color and not blue/green because the clouds block the reflection of the sky. Just fly an aeroplane through the clouds and get above them and the sky is always blue. If the sky is blue because it is reflecting the color of water on Earth, there would not be a blue sky above the clouds which would be blocking the reflection. The sky would reflect the color of the clouds and be white or gray depending on the clouds’ color. The sky would also reflect the color of grasslands and mountains and deserts and be green, gold and various shades of brown depending on where a person was located.

Again, one can cover a flat surface with a covering like a tent, but to cover a globe or sphere, the covering would have to be a sack of some kind. So under the heliocentric model, the spherical Earth would have to spin around inside a sack like covering which would have to be strong enough to withstand the velocity of the spinning Earth and, at the same time, the velocity of an Earth that is careening through “space”, rotating around a sun. This writer thinks it takes a lot more faith to believe conventional science’s story that tries to discredit a Holy God than to believe the Genesis account of creation.

Verses 9-10 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

This verse clearly teaches that what we know today as the ocean or the sea was at one time one large body of water with the land also being one large body. Genesis 10:25 records that in the days or lifetime of a man named Peleg, the earth was divided which may be the origin of the continents of today. Take a look at the United Nations emblem. Although the usual explanation of this flat Earth representation is that it is a map of the world using an equidistant projection centered on the north pole and then encircled with branches of the olive tree, in truth, it gives a fair representation of the Biblical flat Earth and the location of the land in relation to the sea, with the ring of ice known as Antarctica forming the edges of the circle and holding the sea waters inside. Why did the UN decide to use this map instead of the one most commonly seen which depicts a globular world unfolded and laid flat? Could it be that they know the truth and have had it in plain sight via their emblem for all to see for years? Looking at the UN map it is easy to understand how the flood during Noah’s life was able to happen. “For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.” 2 Peter 3:5-6 In the Biblical, flat Earth model, the waters are contained by the ice ring of Antarctica and when God allowed a window to open in the firmament, the waters above the firmament added to the waters on the flat Earth and as the volume increased, the waters overflowed the land. “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” Genesis 7:11

Verses 11-13 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Once the Earth was separated from the water, God covered it with plants and grasses which contained seeds for future propagation. It was good and this creative act ended the third day of creation.

Under the heliocentric religious occult model, the plants, grasses and trees are held on the Earth by gravity. However, gravity cannot be scientifically proven. Therefore, it does not exist. It is a theory to explain away difficulties with the heliocentric model. A spherical shaped Earth would have the plant life falling off into “space” as the curve of the globe dipped in a downward fashion towards what is called the South Pole where everything would be upside down. A spinning, ball shaped Earth would also have difficulty keeping growing things, people and critters attached to its surface. Hence the need for an imaginary force to explain away these problems. A flat, stationary Earth does not need to have anything held onto it by an imaginary force as the density of the plant life, people and critters holds them to the surface of the Earth. Plant life develops root systems that also secure them to the Earth. Even if a small plant is dug out of the soil, it will sit upright or lay upon the surface of the Earth because if has density and weight. A large, dense tree, if uprooted, will lay on the surface of the Earth because of its density/weight, not because of an invisible, unproven force called “gravity”. A human or animal is also able to stay on the surface of the flat Earth because of their density or weight. Birds, bees and butterflies are able to leave the surface of the Earth because they have very little density/weight to lift when moving their wings. It is all in the density/weight, plain and simple. When an aeroplane is going to carry cargo and/or passengers, the amount of “gravity” or “gravitational pull” is not part of the equation determining how much cargo and/or passengers can be loaded into the aeroplane. Weight is the primary consideration, hence the weighing of luggage when checking in for a flight at any airport. Just thinking about the usual activities of daily life should reveal that the Earth is flat and stationary and that the concept of a spinning, spherical, and gravity protected Earth is nonsense.

Verses 14-15 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

The purpose of the lights in the firmament is to be for signs and for calculating time. They were never designed to only assist in seeing the environment at night, and they provide both beauty and function.

In the heliocentric model, there is an “outer space” that the Earth spins and travels through that is a black, dark, and lifeless place. The Bible says that God is everywhere. “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:6 It also says that God is light. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 So Scripture refutes the religious heliocentric teaching that there is a dark and dreary outer space where there is no God and where there is no light.

In the heliocentric model, the stars die off and magically get born in this outer space every day: millions of them according to so called science. The problem with this is that if stars die and then get replaced all the time, celestial navigation that has been going on by mankind for thousands of years, using the same stars in the Heavens, would be impossible. The fact that the navigational stars are always there in the sky refutes this heliocentric fantasy. Genesis 2:1 states, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” The number and location of the stars were determined by God and finished. There are no more created stars showing up by the millions every day. Finished means finished. Furthermore, Psalms 147:4 states, “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”

Verses 16-19 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The creation of the sun, moon and stars is recorded here and completes the fourth day of creation. The word “rule” means to have dominion and the word “give” can be translated “shine” because, as noted before, light was already in existence before the creation of the sun, moon and stars. In a sense, these lights do separate night and day in that one cannot see them except at their appointed time. If the sun is not visible, it is still night. Notice that these lights were placed by God in the firmament of the heaven. They are not millions of “light years” away from the Earth. They are under the firmament or covering and it is the sun and the moon that move in a prescribed circuit in the heavens that make it seem, depending on where one is living, that the sun comes up and the sun goes down. The Earth remains stationary.

The heliocentric myth of a rotating Earth orbiting around a sun, if accepted as true, completely destroys the story of Joshua as recorded in Joshua 10:12-14. “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; And thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.” How much of the Bible would one have to remove in order to say the heliocentric model is correct? Think about it.

Application: Hopefully, you, the reader, can see from just this small sampling of Scripture vs. science so called, that the whole purpose of the heliocentric model is to cast doubt upon the truth of the Word of God and upon the existence of Creator God. The entire premise or basis for the heliocentric model is flawed and the tenets cannot be supported by proper scientific experimentation. To continue discussing the flat Earth vs. heliocentrism is not necessary or appropriate for this Bible study web site. Do the research for yourself and decide for yourself. Either the Bible’s teachings about creation are true, or man’s science is true. But remember, God does not lie, so to be a true Christian believer means that faith in the Word of God as being true, even when it goes against what has been taught as scientific truth, must be paramount and the teachings of man-made science must be rejected. You decide.

An excellent resource for study is Edward Hendrie’s book, The Sphere of Influence: The Heliocentric Perversion of the Gospel, and his earlier book, The Greatest Lie on Earth.

Verses 20-23 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

On this fifth day of creation, God limits His activity to the creation of those creatures that would fill the seas and the heaven above the Earth. It would have been easy for God to finish creating all living creatures, but He chose to do these animals in a specific manner, in a specific order, and at a specific time. Technically, the sea life were in water and the fowl life were in the waters in the firmament. One of the chemical components of water is oxygen which is also a vital component of the air that living creatures breathe.

Verses 24-25 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

On this final day of creation, God creates all the living creatures that will dwell on the Earth. Like the sea creatures and fowls in the above verses, the phrase “after his kind” is repeated and so everything that ever walked or crawled, swam or flew was created at this one creation time. Any type of insect or animal or sea creature or fowl that is alive today has descended from these original critters, and any change in their form or structure has been due to genetic information being lost or damaged over time. There cannot be any new species as the genetic material God created in the beginning is all that there is. It cannot be added to. Snakes are still snakes and butterflies are still butterflies even if a change in size or color has occurred. Sinful man cannot create life. He can only manipulate the genetic codes within the cell, and apparently this has been occurring (the sheep, Dolly) and is occurring today (the Covid-19 jab) as man tries to usurp the God of creation. Unlike God’s handiwork, however, man’s efforts are not good.

Verse 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The word translated ‘dominion’ in the verses above means to rule over. It does not mean to abuse or exploit for our own pleasure or profit. God was giving man the opportunity to care for and look after the land and the creatures He had already created and which He saw as good. However, when sin entered the hearts and minds of men, the animal kingdom became nothing more to men than a source of food, clothing, business income, and sport, and the soil nothing more that material to pollute with pesticides and chemical fertilizers in the name of increased production, lower production costs, and increased profits.

Verses 27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

When God created man, this included male and female. God does not make a distinction between men and women. They are one of the same. This is contrary to how we think and so it is difficult to remember when reading the Bible that it is written in the masculine tense and that man can and does refer to both sexes. The word ‘replenish’ means fill.

Application: God did not create family planning or abortion. The Bible teaches that it is the LORD who opens or closes a woman’s womb. His first commandment to man was to be fruitful and have children and fill up the whole Earth. He is not worried about climate change or over population. His plan is always perfect and will never harm man or his environment. Children are a gift from God and should be cherished and protected by the believer.

Verses 29-30 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Man was created to be a vegetarian. That should please all the readers that do not eat animals. But not only was man created a vegetarian, but also all the creatures of the Earth. God was not planning on animals and people killing and eating His creation. Before sin, there was no death, so no blood was shed or flesh eaten. It was not necessary as there were plenty of plants to devour. That has not changed today. Farmers still produce plenty of vegetables and fruits for proper nutrition. Again, when sin entered the hearts and minds of man, life became less valuable and resulted in the killing and eating of animals and in some cultures and social groups, cannibalism as well.

Verse 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

“For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:18

Some Bible verses to consider:

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. (1 Chronicles 16:30)

When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: (Proverbs 8:27)

For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven; (Job 28:24)

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: (Isaiah 40:22)

Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; (Isaiah 44:24)

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. 13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. 14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. (Psalm 33:4–15)

It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name. (Amos 9:6)

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? 9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, 10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, 11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? 12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; 13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? (Job 38:4–13)

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. (Psalm 19:1–6)

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things const. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:16–18)
