Synopsis: This book contains genealogical records that go back to the first man, Adam. The writer carefully lists names and descendants and then gives a history of the southern kingdom.
Chapters 1-9 is the genealogy.
Chapters 10-29 is about Judah, including the death of King Saul and up to the death of King David. Some of the book is reminiscent of the books of first and second Samuel and first and second Kings as some of the information is the same.
