2 Thessalonians

Completed

Synopsis: This epistle or letter was written by the Apostle Paul and his companions and fellow workers in the Faith, Silvanus and Timotheus. Its main focus is the soon coming King, the LORD Jesus Christ. Apparently the church in Thessalonica was worried that Jesus was returning at any moment and they are assured through this epistle that His return will not be before at least two things have happened: first a falling away and then the revealing of the true nature of the son of perdition, identified as Satan himself.

Key Verses: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

“Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” 2 Thessalonians 2:15
