Verses 1-2 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
This chapter deals with the judgement of God upon the Earth and upon those people who have taken the mark of the beast and therefore rejected the LORD Jesus Christ. Remember that “beasts” metaphorically in Scripture represent man-made governmental systems that are displeasing to God.
Remember also that the mark of the beast represents the physical, mental and emotional state of living men and women who reject Jesus and accept demonic leadership under man-made governmental and religious authority. This can involve many things in today’s world of AI and technology. Bar codes that are on all products sold contain a 666. That number is representative of many people and systems that are against the LORD or that are anti-Christ. This writer believes that the Covid-19 jab and so called vaccines are “the mark of the beast” as it is/has been injected into the blood of living souls and then becomes/has become part of their bodies which were created by God. Those people serving Satan have his mark, whereas, those people serving the LORD Jesus Christ have His mark and refuse to engage with the end time “mark of the beast”.
Angels are messengers and they are often sent to carry out punishment upon mankind. When the nation Israel and their king, David, angered God, an angel was dispatched and, “So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.” 2 Samuel 24:15-16
The Greek word translated as “vials” is “phiale” and it means a broad shallow bowl or a deep saucer. A “vial” today would be a cylindrical shaped glass container that is fairly small and usually used for holding liquid medicines. So the vials the angels metaphorically are going to pour out are large bowls that can hold a lot of material. When using the imagination to picture what the Apostle John was seeing, there would be a great difference in imagining an angel holding a test tube type vial versus a large mixing or laundry bowl type vial.
The Greek word translated as “wrath” is “thumos” and it means passion, anger that is boiling up, or heat. So the vials contain metaphorically the intense anger of Almighty God. At this point in the vision, it would seem that God has decided that, regarding mankind’s continual rebellion and sin, enough is enough and judgement is to commence.
The Greek word translated as “noisome” is “kakos” and it means of a bad nature, evil, troublesome, injurious or destructive. The Greek word translated as “grievous” is “poneros” and it means evil, wicked, wicked one, bad, of a bad nature or condition, physical disease or blindness. The Greek word translated as “sore” is “helkos” and it means a wound producing a discharge or pus, or an ulcer. So the picture here is of an angry God who is going to send judgement upon the unrepentant people on the Earth that is troublesome, injurious, destructive, and which will be of a bad nature or condition and which may include physical disease and spiritual blindness. Spiritually, the worst judgement that can occur is blindness to the need for a Savior which will result in destruction physically and spiritually. Although an infected wound or sore in the natural can be painful, smelly, unsightly and dangerous, spiritually the sinful and rebellious condition of most of mankind today can be seen by God as a putrid, infectious, unsightly, and smelly situation that pains Him to observe and that needs to be purified by His consuming power and righteousness.
Application: Notice that these vial judgements of God are restricted to those living men and women involved with the mark of the beast (see chapter 13) and with the worship of this system. This writer continually goes back to the book of Exodus when the LORD rescued His people from Egyptian tyranny and bondage. While the Egyptian people and their land were under judgement with ten plagues which destroyed their families and their nation, the Hebrew people were protected and suffered no loss of life or of possessions. This verse clearly states that this first vial judgement affects those who have complied with governmental demands (worship) and who have taken the mark of the beast which this writer believes was/is the Covid-19 jab. God’s people who have not complied with governmental mandates regarding the “jab”, like the Hebrews in Egypt, will be protected.
Since completing previous chapters of this book last year, it has been revealed that the Covid-19 “jab” contains graphene oxide. The structure of an atom of this material consists of 6 protons, 6 neutrons, and 6 electrons. So its number is 666. Can it be any clearer? “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred, threescore (20 + 20+ 20 = 60) and six (666)” Revelation 13:18 parenthesis added.
Verse 3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
The Greek word translated as “sea” is “thalassa” and, although in the physical sense in the Bible it is usually referring to the Mediterranean Sea or the Red Sea, metaphorically the sea is representative of masses of people. Most have heard the saying, “a sea of faces” when referring to a large crowd of people. So since Revelation is a book written in metaphor, this writer has to go with the word representing the masses of people on Earth today and not the specific geographical location of the Mediterranean or Red Sea.
Blood is where the life is according to Scripture. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11 This was in reference to the animal sacrifices done under the Old Covenant and Mosaic law. That is why the LORD Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross as the final sacrificial Lamb. Only through His shed blood can there be the cleansing of sin and atonement. The blood in the verse above is “as the blood of a dead man” which, physically speaking, gives the picture of stagnated, clotted blood that is no longer carrying oxygen and nutrients to every cell of the body so there will be death of tissue and an eventual rotting of the flesh. Spiritually, the picture is of souls not covered by the shed blood of Jesus which provides remission of sins and eternal life. So living souls who took the mark of the beast system and who have rejected the LORD Jesus Christ died/are dying both physically and spiritually in the sea of people. Those who were/are sealed by God were/are protected.
Application: A return to the book of Exodus, chapter 7 will remind the reader that Moses and Aaron literally turned the waters of Egypt into literal blood so that “. . . all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.” Exodus 7:20-21 This was a supernatural real event and was not metaphor and it was localized and not worldwide. Now, the Apostle John is seeing visions in the end times that in many ways are representative of or similar to those historical events but which were future at the time of his writing, which are worldwide, and which need to be applied spiritually. Therefore, when this second angel pours/poured out his vial, the waters of the Earth most likely will not actually be turned to blood as the meaning is meant to be metaphor and applied spiritually. But just like the events in Egypt where all the plagues were designed to bring judgement to a God rejecting nation while the people of God were protected, these final judgements of God are to be felt and experienced by a God rejecting world while the people of God, the true Church, will be protected.
Verses 4-7 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
This third vial judgement is designed to negatively reward those who have caused and who are causing harm to the people of God. Examples of these are those down through time who have been “blood thirsty” or lovers of violence, torture and killing. Who has been responsible for shedding “the blood of saints and prophets” down through time? Primarily the Jews have been responsible for persecuting and harming their own prophets, including their Messiah Jesus Christ, and for persecuting the Church. However, at the behest of the Devil, pharaohs and kings like Herod in the New Testament narrative, queens, presidents, Caesars and other governmental and military leaders and systems, and religious organizations like the institution of Catholicism are all guilty of shedding the innocent blood of the righteous. Present day examples include the nation of China and their Chinese government and those elite who identify as Jews but who are of Khazar descent and referred to by Jesus Christ as the synagogue of Satan. The list is endless, but the symbolism or picture presented in the verses above is that the righteous God will give to those who serve and who have the mark of the beast the same treatment which they have heartlessly given to the people of God. They have shed blood and have taken pleasure in doing so, but the wrath of God is upon them and they will be punished severely.
Rivers and fountains of waters symbolize life. In the natural, flesh is over 90% water and without water, life is not sustainable. Without water, crops cannot grow and produce food and livestock cannot survive. Without water, everything is destroyed. The image of bloody water that cannot be ingested or used indicates that the things that unrepentant people want and need to maintain their lifestyle on Earth will be taken from them. Spiritually, the image is of people who are physically functioning but who no longer have life as they are walking dead people, separated from Almighty God, who will spend eternity in Hell.
Verses 8-9 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
In the literal sense, the verses above are stating that the sun was/or will be affected by the wrath of God being poured out upon sinful mankind so that people are tortured with intense heat. But the Word of God promises that “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 At the very end of time, the Apostle Peter stated when Jesus returns, the heavens and the earth will literally be destroyed by fire, but this vial judgement is not the end of time as there are three judgements that follow. So again these verses cannot be interpreted in a literal sense as the entire book of Revelation is prophetic hyperbole full of symbols and imagery that has to be interpreted by the rest of Scripture. So, metaphorically what are these verses saying?
In the physical or natural, the sun was created for specific purposes. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:14-18 So the physical sun is a time piece and a light giver. It is also an aid in navigation. Over time, however, the sun, along with the moon and stars, became an idol and became associated with pagan deities especially the worship of the Devil or sun god (Ba’al). In Deuteronomy 4:19 the prophet Moses warned the Hebrew people not make idols out of the lights in the heavens. “And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.” Witchcraft has always abounded and it does so today. December 21-25 is a witchcraft celebration of the death and resurrection of the sun god and occurs on the winter solstice or December 21st each year. This celebration is called Yule. So mankind took the gift of God, the sun, and turned it into a false god, Ba’al, and worshipped the Devil instead of the one true God. So the imagery in the verses above is that of God, in His fierce anger towards those who serve the Devil and the various governmental systems and false religions set up by demonic forces, is using their own devices to harm them as punishment for their rebellion and their wicked treatment of His prophets and people. So instead of these people being benefited by their witchcraft and occultism, they will be betrayed and destroyed by the devils they serve.
The sun is also representative of light as opposed to darkness, light which exposes that which is done in secret by wicked people. When the prophet Nathan confronted King David for his secret sin against Uriah the Hittite which resulted in the man’s death, he told David that God would punish him. “For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.” 2 Samuel 12:12 Another part of the imagery of the verses above is that the evil schemes and actions of the wicked will be revealed for others to see, particularly God’s Church.
Verses 10-11 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
The Greek word translated as “seat” is “thronos” and it means a throne, a chair of state, or kingly power or royalty. In the verses above, the throne or power is that of the beast (savage or ferocious) system and not that of God. Right now the “one world government” elite are attempting to destroy all that God has created and replace it with their world according to the Devil that they serve. They want to reduce the Earth’s population to make it manageable, remove God and His people the Church, remove all God-given rights and freedoms of the people, and replace it with tyranny and servitude. They want a world and people made in the image of the Devil they serve. But things are not going according to their plans and their time tables are falling apart. Their world and the one world kingdom they have attempted to create and control is full of evil and is spiritually dark. As these elite become more frustrated, they are doing things that are more and more open and obvious and this is very upsetting to them as what they do, they usually do in secret. “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” Luke 12:2-3 These evil men and women know there is a God in Heaven, yet they continue to hate and reject Him and His Word and His son, Jesus.
Verses 12-14 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
The Euphrates River was considered the dividing point between the West and the East. So metaphorically, the drying up or removing of this obstacle would allow for the joining of the nations in the West and the nations in the East. All one has to do is look at the economic and trade situation to see that the Western nations have been invaded by products and services made in the East, particularly in China. It is difficult to find a vacuum cleaner or cooking device that is not made in China. Stores such as Walmart and on line stores such as Amazon have been referred to as Chinese stores as so much of their products are manufactured outside of America and Europe in China and other Asian countries. This economic one world system is just part of the Satanic plan for world control and the destruction of that which God has created. Religiously, eastern religions have flooded what once was predominately Christian countries. Politically, China has grown to be a formidable force that may be reckoned with militarily in the future should Jesus Christ delay His return.
Going back to the plagues brought against Egypt by God, chapter 8 of the book of Exodus records an invasion of frogs that covered the land. When the frogs died, “. . . they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.” Exodus 8:14 Those frogs were real flesh and blood frogs, whereas the three frogs in the above verse are metaphor for evil spirits operating at the behest of Satan within the demonic one world government and the one world religious system and the one world financial system that is part of this end time Satanic plan. In America, the territorial and municipal governments are nothing more than British and Papal control that has been in place and growing stronger every day since the late 1800’s. The people of America think they have their own Federal, State, and Local governments in which they elect representatives, but the truth is that the elections are rigged and all the “elected”officials work for two main corporations run by the Vatican and by the Lord Mayor of London and the Crown. America has been taken over without its people realizing it and without a shot being fired, and most other people in other countries are in the same predicament. And most of the people controlling the nations of the Earth are unrighteous, God hating individuals who worship the Devil, power, and money. All these nations are working together to enslave their populations, depopulate their nations, and take freedoms, rights and privileges away from every living man and living woman that is left after they work their evil plans. The leaders in the world are working together to battle God for control of the Earth. Like the dead and stinking frogs in Egypt, the state of the Earth has become a stench and an offense to the LORD. If this picture seems dismal, it is. This is what God has prophesied would come to pass at the end of time because of the unrepentant sin of mankind. If this picture seems hopeless, it isn’t as every living man and living woman still, at the time of this writing, has the opportunity to repent of their sins, ask the LORD Jesus Christ to forgive them and to wash them clean by His shed blood, and then be filled with His Holy Ghost/Spirit. The choice is still there. The Earth and everything and everyone in it is scheduled for destruction, but there is still time to accept the free gift of salvation from the LORD and to inherit eternal life.
Application: What is the “great day of God Almighty”? It is when the LORD Jesus Christ returns to this Earth to remove His remnant people, judge the wicked, end time, and destroy the original works of His hands by fire. See the Bible references below.
Verses 15-16 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” 2 Peter 3:10 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 24:42-44
Application: All believers know the signs of the LORD’s coming as listed in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. All these things have come to pass/are coming to pass so what should Christian believers be doing? Watching. Praying. Evangelizing. Trusting. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28
The garments in verse 15 above are metaphor for being clothed in righteousness. In Old Testament times, people washed their bodies and put on clean garments before entering into the Tabernacle or Temple area to present their sacrifices to the Levitical priests. Aaron and his sons had to have “holy garments” in order to be consecrated so they could perform their priestly duties. These garments were sprinkled with blood and anointing oil before Aaron and his sons took their offices and began to minister to the LORD. “And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.” Exodus 29:29 So in New Testament times, believers are covered by the sacrificial blood of the LORD Jesus Christ and are anointed by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost/Spirit. This process is not physical, but spiritual in nature, hence the being clothed in righteousness. “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.” Isaiah 61:10-11
Cyrus I. Scofield in his fictional end time scenario took the verses above and taught that there was going to be a great “battle of Armageddon” between good and evil in which there would be a great slaughter of mankind on the plain of Esdraelon where Megiddo was located. Again, these verses are metaphor and representative of God’s prophetic plan.
The name, “Armageddon” means “the hill”. When researching this name, historians and writers state with confidence that it refers to the city of Megiddo, a place in Palestine in ancient times where trade routes converged and battles were fought. It was a military center in King Solomon’s reign, and King Ahaziah and King Josiah of Judah both died there. To quote the Britannica, “It is thought that the word Armageddon is derived from Megiddo, since the prefix har means hill in Hebrew; hence Armageddon means Hill of Megiddo.” The site of Megiddo has been extensively excavated by archaeologists, but this writer has not discovered that any connection between the Hebrew word Armageddon as used by the Apostle John and the city of Megiddo has been found. So this writer is not going to assume like the Britannica and other historical reference sites that one has anything to do with the other. Remember, the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is written in metaphor or word pictures, and therefore this name means something but it is not designating a particular area of land in Palestine. Remember also that this book was written by a Jew who would have known Jewish or Hebrew history. So the name may have had significance to the people of the Apostle John’s day that has been lost over time. Militarily, hills were vantage points from which to see the enemy and from which to launch an attack. Opposing forces could be easily defeated trying to ascend up a hill to engage another army. So metaphorically, it would seem that these anti-Christ kings and people are working their plan to be that which they think is strategically advantageous in their attempt to destroy all things belonging to God.
Who is the “he” in verse 16 above? Most commentators and pastors teach that it is God Almighty. And perhaps it is. But it could also be the dragon or Satan in verse 15 above since these “kings of the Earth and of the whole world” are working for him and not for God. This writer believes this is the case. Why would righteous kings or righteous people gather together against the LORD? You decide. What is known is that today most of the Earth’s countries are being run by servants of Satan and that because they have a common goal, they are working together. They may not like each other, but their hatred for God and for all things godly (especially the Church) binds them together in a common cause and common plan for world dominance.
Verses 17-18 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
At the pouring out of the last vial, there is going to be greater upheaval of all societal systems than has ever happened in the history of the Earth. Everything will come apart. Some of this is already happening as morals, ethics, behaviors and governing systems are deteriorating. When it is considered acceptable to kill a live-born infant because it is an inconvenience to its biological parent and then to cut up the infant into parts that are harvested for various purposes and then sold for profit, things are definitely demonic and in needing of judgement from God. When there is no respect or reverence for life, all living people and animals are at risk. Only by the return of the LORD Jesus Christ to this Earth to bring forth judgement of the wicked and a cleansing by fire of all that has been ruined and made rotten by living men and living woman can the blight of sin be removed. When God says, “It is done,” the end of time as people know it and the end of this Earth and the Heavens will come forth just as His Word says it will. Only true Christian believers will be rejoicing at His return.
Verses 19-21 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. (Revelation 16)
The verses above simply mean that God’s wrath and judgement will be poured out upon the Earth and upon all those who have taken the mark of the beast or who are servants of the Devil and his fallen angels. The cities are where man-made governments are, they represent populations, and they represent areas of sin and wickedness. The “great city” divided into three parts may be referring to spiritually demonic Jerusalem, or spiritually demonic Rome, or spiritually demonic London, or the spiritually demonic District of Columbia which are the areas where the one world government people are located and working from. Rome is the center of the one world religious system, London is the center of the one world financial system, the District of Columbia is the center of the one world military system, and Jerusalem is the control center by “the synagogue of Satan” of these three entities and of all things anti-Christ. So in reality, Judaism in its many forms today controls three separate governing entities that have been and still are destroying the rights and freedoms given by God to the people of this Earth. Therefore, this writer believes that the divided city metaphorically represents physical Jerusalem and all the cities under demonic control working with the Devil to further his agenda of death and destruction. However, let’s not forget that Revelation 11:8 speaks of, “the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified”. Both Sodom and Egypt are metaphor for evil and wickedness which includes sexual depravity, false religions and idolatry. The physical Sodom and physical Egypt both experienced physical destruction from fire and brimstone as recorded in Genesis 19 and from hail sent by God as recorded in Exodus 9. But metaphorically, the sins represented by these two entities were the reason the LORD Jesus Christ was crucified: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. And finally there is Babylon. “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8 Metaphorically, Babylon represents false religions, witchcraft, and idolatry. And in chapters 17 and 18 there are more references to “that great city”. So in summary, the great city appears to represent places with dense populations where there is unrepentant sin of all kinds but especially rebellion against God through false religions, sexual and moral depravity, witchcraft, demonic governments, corrupt financial systems, and idolatry. What do you think?
To make it easier to review and understand the three different judgements written about in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, they are listed below. This writer believes that the seal, trumpet and vial judgements are happening all at the same time, but that they are viewed from different perspectives. Just an idea for you, the reader, to explore if desired.
Comparison of Seal, Trumpet and Vial Judgements
First Angel:
Seal: when the Lamb opened one of the seals, . . . behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conguering, and to conquer. (Rev. 6:1-2) (the Gospel going forth)
Trumpet: there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. (Rev. 8:7)
Vial: And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Rev. 16:2)
Second Angel:
Seal: And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. (Rev. 6:3-4) (war and bloodshed)
Trumpet: a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; the third part of the creatures which were in the sea and had life died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed (Rev. 8:8-9)
Vial: And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. (Rev. 16:3)
Third Angel:
Seal: a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. (Rev. 6:5-6) (unjust measures/control of food supply and economy/unjust banking and financial systems)
Trumpet: a great star fell from heaven burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. (Rev. 8:10-11)
Vial: And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. (Rev. 16:4)
Fourth Angel:
Seal: behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Rev. 6:7-8) (false religions and false Christianity)
Trumpet: the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (Rev. 8:12)
Vial: And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given to him to scorched men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. (Rev. 16:8-9)
Fifth Angel:
Seal: under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. (Rev. 6:9-11) (Persecution of God’s people)
Trumpet: a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. (Rev. 9:1-4)
Vial: And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. (Rev. 16:10-11)
Sixth Angel:
Seal: there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and great men, and rich men, and chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Rev. 6:12-17)
Trumpet: Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. (Rev. 9:13-15)
Vial: And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:12-14)
Seventh Angel:
Seal: Silence in heaven about the space of half an hour (Rev. 8:1)
Trumpet: there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev. 10:6-7 and 11:15)
Vial: And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying “It is done.” (Rev. 16:17)
